More about me!
As already stated in my primary academic bio, I am an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Marketing, Global Business and Economics at Kean University in Union, NJ. My research interests are primarily in Urban and Health Economics (though I’m also very interested in the history and philosophy of economic thought, and science in general).
I’m originally from Central Pennsylvania, but now live (by way of Pittsburgh) in New Jersey with my wife, Kasia, and our dog, Tasso. Like many boring grown-ups, I like boring grown-up stuff; e.g. gardening, cooking, mushroom-hunting, playing pinball, etc. If you’d like to see some of my interesting fungi-finds (as well as plenty other neat critters and flora), be sure to check out my iNaturalist page.
I’m also an occasional musician and have had the privilege of performing in a few bands over the years, including…
- Blød Maud – Pop-post-punk (post-pop-punk?)
- Swiss Alps – Indie pop
